At The Rock and Metal Academy, safety and transparency is our first priority.

Teachers

Each of our teachers is HEAVILY vetted, complete with background checks. Anyone with a history of violent crime is immediately banned from teaching at the Academy. In fact, many of our teachers were students themselves who RMA Owner Robyn McCammon has watched grow up!

Awareness & Prevention

RMA Owner Robyn McCammon has both completed AND hosted the seminar Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children, presented through The New Hope Children's Advocacy Center of Blount County.  As of 2023, all staff of RMA have also completed this seminar. This important program educates and empowers everyone to prevent and be aware of child sex abuse around them. We strongly encourage everyone to find a seminar given near you so that you can be a part of this important movement: click here for more info.

Strict Safety Measures at RMA:

  • Background checks on ALL teachers

  • Cameras with displayed live feed in the lobby and 

  • Contact outside of the Academy is allowed only through the RMA Office email

  • All staff are trained through the Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children Seminar
